THE AFRICAN BUSINESS DAY
The African Business Day is our largest annual keynote event. The purpose of this event is to give students in the Netherlands a new perspective on the fast-growing continent that is Africa and to educate them on the many possibilities and opportunities available on the continent.
At the moment we are working hard on organizing the next edition. This year’s African Business Day will be under the theme, "The African Dream". During this year's conference, we will share ideas on Africa’s social, political and economic future. Furthermore, we hope to celebrate and promote awareness of existing innovative business solutions that have been deployed by Africans in Africa and abroad, as well as cultural movements such as, ‘Women’s Empowerment’, a theme our all-female committee is quite excited about.
The day will be divided into two parts with plenty of time dedicated to discussions and debates. In the first part, there will be a series of workshops given by renowned companies. For many companies this is a great way to recruit talented students with a diverse background whom are interested in both working in the Netherlands and Africa. Last year Ringier recruited three students whom are now working for their offices in Ghana and Senegal.
The second part will host different speakers who will bring their perspectives on business in Africa closer to the audience through speeches, Q&A sessions and honorary discussions with students and other business people.
