How, What & Why?
Throughout the year we host different events such as the African Business Day, the African Culture Month and the African Trip in order to educate, empower and inspire!
THE AFRICAN BUSINESS DAY
The African Business Day is an event that we organize with the support of the City of Rotterdam, the Rotterdam School of Management, the Erasmus School of Economics the Erasmus University, McKinsey & Company and renowned individuals such as former prime minister of the Netherlands Jan Peter Balkenende and former mayor of Rotterdam, Ahmed Aboutaleb.
The purpose of our event is to give students in the Netherlands a new perspective on the fast-growing continent that is Africa and to educate them on the many possibilities and opportunities available on the continent.
THE AFRICAN TRIP
The African Trip took place from April 14th, 2017 until April 24th, 2017. We visited Ghana with a group of 15 dedicated and enthusiastic students interested in opportunities in Africa. The trip was be a combination of educational, cultural and career-related activities.
THE AFRICAN CULTURE MONTH
The goal of this yearly event is to introduce students to the African culture and expand students' knowledge of it. The ACM was designed in the hopes of giving students an accurate view of all that Africa has to offer, including its rich culture, stories, dance, music and possibilities. The ACM thus provides the opportunity for students to see Africa from a whole new perspective!
